The key to DIY beauty is to find a few simple ingredients that your skin loves. Don't worry-- it's easier than it seems! Often a few ingredients will go a long way and make many types of skin care or beauty products. A typical DIYer's beauty arsenal would look something like this...
- One or two carrier oils depending on skin type (Jojoba Oil, Almond Oil, Coconut or Rosehips Oil)
- Epsom Salt or Fine Salt
- Aloe Vera Gel, Vitamin E or Vegetable Glycerin
- Essential Oils
- Animal cruelty free and toxin free containers, brushes, and clothes.
Seriously-- that's pretty much all you need to get started!
Welcome to Beauty 101
The best advice I can give you is to ALWAYS listen to your body. If something doesn't feel right, then don't do it! If something is working and you don't know how, then don't ask questions-- just go with it!
Remember, have fun and don't take it too seriously. If you are using the right ingredients, then nothing you can do will cause an explosion or make your face fall off!! {grins}
